A collection of designs capturing the discordant rhythm of a printmaker’s environment and exploring disorder within the process of making art. Jumbled layers of worn textures are drawn from a build-up of accidental marks and a patina from years of experiments. Abstract drawings are inspired by the remnants of creative mess and objects within the habitat. The colour palette consists of muted, dusty hues representative of the tools and equipment found in the spaces, including parcel tape brown, vibrant red and subtle teal. Designs are screen printed onto durable linen fabric with a tactile quality enhanced by the three-dimensional flock embellishments.
